One of the biggest challenges related to Hacked Man so far has been sticking to good habits while on a vacation. Now I'm leaving for a five day concert trip, with lots of singing, sitting in a bus and maybe also some drinks with the local choirs. This might be pretty risky.
As I always forget these sort of things, I again forgot to put my Beeminder goals on hold. You have to put them on a break one week in advance, and I missed my chance. So I'm going to use this to my advantage and just stick to my goals. I've looked through them and it shoudn't be impossible.
Vacuuming the apartment is basically the only thing I can't do on the trip and that goal won't fail before I'm back. Others I can do on a vacation trip, if I just decide so. I can meditate, I can (and probably will have to) shine shoes, I can stretch. I can even update Hacked Man on the go (I'm doing it right now with an iPad). Exercise might be harder, but we'll see if there's some gyms at the hotels we are staying.
There's all sorts of risks involved: hangovers, sleep deprivation, no alone time, etc. Still, it should be doable. So of course I'm going to do it. We'll see how it affects the vacation. Will it be more fun? Will it be horrible? Can it actually be done?
Stay tuned.
