I got some nice comments (on Google+) on the last post about dealing with negative people. Matias Pajulahti suggested I'd check out Nonviolent Communication and Mind-body bridging as tools to deal better with super-annoying assholes.
Precious, yet challenging, people, I mean.
I'll be reading a book by Stanley H. Block on Mind-body bridging and a book by Marshall B. Rosenberg on Nonviolent communication. Once I finish these, I'll be posting reviews on Hacked Man and choosing a bunch of practical tricks I'm going to be putting into action.
Nonviolent communication is especially something I've been interested for a ages, but haven't really got into at any point. I can be pretty diplomatic, but knowing more about this style of communication could also be quite useful professionally, so I think this'll be worth checking out.
Mind-body bridging is something I don't really have any sort of idea what to expect, which is naturally exciting. Some possibly completely new stuff to learn about and to try to put into action.
Brilliant!
